Please note: All The Songsmith products are individually crafted and require many hours of work. You should allow a minimum turnaround of two weeks. Book six weeks in advance and receive a 5% discount! Songs or poems required in less than two weeks may attract a small surcharge over these advertised prices, especially during peak periods. Please ask for a quote if you have a rush job.

Moment

A poem (up to 30 lines, about a single page) hand-inked on parchment paper.

Interlude

A short song (up to 2.5 minutes) with simple arrangement (for example, voice and guitar), recorded on CD complete with attractive standard Songsmith artwork incorporating your supplied photos.

A medium length song (up to 3.5 minutes) with medium arrangement, on CD complete with attractive standard Songsmith artwork incorporating your supplied photos.

Chanson

A longer song (up to 4.5 minutes) with full arrangment (for example, lead and backing vocals, keyboards, guitar, bass, drums). Supplied with completely custom in-house artwork constructed ground-up to your specifications.

Opus grande

The best. Full arrangement, up to 6 minutes, with your choice of featured instrumentalist, vocalist or fully professional CD artwork, design and execution. Deluxe performance, mixdown and mastering. The next best thing to a fully professional recording designed for commercial release.

Gift vouchers (and a discount)

These are available for all the above packages, at the listed price less 5% (offer only available for direct purchases from this website - call for more information) and are valid for one year from date of purchase. Custom gift vouchers can also be arranged.

Variations and discounts

Full payment in advance attracts a 5% discount. Very short turnaround projects may attract a surcharge. Feel free to request variations on packages - as every Songsmith piece is custom-made, all variations are very reasonably priced. And if you have a special requirement not covered by the packages below (for example, a haiku or an opera cycle), don't hesitate to ask for a quote.
We can supply multiple quantities of Songsmith works at reasonable prices per copy - please ask for a quote. Please also ask about discounts for multiple packages, repeat business, referrals and the unwaged.

Songs & poems payment

Payment is by cash or cheque. Please note that a minimum of 30% of the total fee is required on commencement, another 30% to be paid on approved draft, and the balance to be paid on delivery.

Recording

Recording is charged at a base rate of $29.70 per hour (inclusive of GST) including travel and setup. Rates as low as $22/hr for projects and concession holders - please call for details.

Editing

Literary editing and consultation is charged at a base rate of $29.70 per hour.
